Why the Mesopelagic is Super Cool

The mesopelagic is a zone in the ocean we began studying this year in earth science. The mesopelagic is called the twilight zone because sunlight rarely penetrates to the depth of the zone, from 200 - 1000 meters deep.

In class this year, we had the awesome opportunity of having Amanda Netburn from Scripps Institution of Oceanography teach students about this zone, and why its way cool.

This video is really sweet, too, explaining the zone, and done very well by Noelle Bowlin.
